A witness says a naked man chewing on the face of another naked man on a downtown highway ramp kept eating and growled at a police officer who tried to make him stop.
Police in Miami were forced to take down a naked man who was gnawing at another man's face.
The bizarre series of events started when cyclist Larry Vega noticed one man feeding on another man who was lying in the road. Shocked by what he was seeing, he flagged down a police officer who pointed his gun at the perpetrator and ordered him to stop. The man stopped for a second, looked up and then growled at the officer before continuing to feed.
Vega recounted how the officer had proceeded to shoot the attacker who despite being wounded seemed oblivious and carried on feeding. The officer eventually had no choice but to fire again, this time killing him.
Police are now investigating the incident, while some have referred to the mysterious attacker as evidence of a real-life zombie, it is thought that the man, now identified as 31-year-old Rudy Eugene, may have been high on drugs at the time.
